MyoVision refers to a specialized test that is performed at our Centers. The test visually observes and records damage that has been done to your spinal muscles following trauma, such as a result of an automobile crash. The results obtained are used by the doctor to determine the extent of injury to the support muscles of the spine and from this can form a more predictable and reliable prognosis of your recovery.
The test measures the electrical activity of the spinal muscles as you are moving in different directions. There is no pain associated with the test and the test usually takes about 15-20 minutes to perform.
The test results have been used in determining the extent of muscle and spine injury in litigation. One very obvious reason is that pain is not something you can see, however this test prepares a visual report with grafts that shows muscle guarding/injury present and to what degree.
